Providing Top Christian Counseling in WA &TX

My journey to becoming a Christian psychotherapist began long before graduate school. I grew up in a rough neighborhood in a home that was far from perfect. As a teenager, I gave my life to Christ at a small church two miles from my house, and it changed everything. That church became family. It was there I learned about leadership, integrity, and what healthy community can look like.

In my twenties, while attending ministry school, I completed a six-month faith-based emotional healing course that deeply transformed me. That experience ignited a calling: to bring emotional wholeness and biblically grounded healing to the Body of Christ.

Soon after, life tested that calling. I walked through significant marital trauma, survived a serious car accident that required neck surgery, and faced melanoma that led to extensive surgery. Alongside other losses and moves, it was a decade marked by grief, resilience, and ongoing healing. While completing my master’s degree during COVID, I was still managing C-PTSD symptoms. In my final year, I gave birth to my son and navigated intense postpartum anxiety/OCD symptoms, while finishing my program with honors.

I share this because I understand what it feels like to love Jesus and still struggle. Many Christians feel pressure to appear strong while privately battling trauma, anxiety, addiction, or marital pain. But healing begins when what’s hidden is brought into the light.

In 2022, I founded Illuminate Christian Counseling to provide clinically informed, trauma-aware Christian counseling rooted in Scripture. My faith shapes how I understand identity, suffering, relationships, sexuality, and redemption. I value evidence-based therapeutic practices, but I believe ultimate healing flows from Christ.

I work with ministry leaders, individuals, teens, couples, and those recovering from spiritual abuse, trauma, CPTSD, sexual addiction, and relational betrayal. I offer a space where faith and psychology are not at odds — where you can be honest, known, and supported.

My approach is tailored to your unique story. You will not be treated as a diagnosis or a project, but as a whole person made in the image of God.

If you are seeking Christian counseling that integrates clinical excellence with a biblical worldview, I would be honored to walk with you toward emotional and spiritual wholeness.
